Percy Jones is a British bass guitarist who was born on December 1, 1947. He is best known for his pioneering work with the jazz fusion band, Brand X, which he co-founded in 1975. Jones' unconventional bass playing style, which incorporates harmonics, tapping, and various other techniques, has been widely influential in the fusion and progressive rock genres. He has also worked with several other notable musicians, including David Sylvian, Brian Eno, and Steve Hackett. Jones continues to actively perform and record music to this day.
